Get Involved! Start a Student Organization!

With almost 500 recognized clubs, UCR has a vibrant community of student organizations, but we always encourage students to start their own groups and share their passions with other like-minded people.


Student Life has created a support network of resources and professional staff to make starting and managing a student organization as fun and hassle-free as possible. Our dedicated staff will walk you through the registration process, can fill out forms with you, and can even advise you on event planning and fundraising. Workshops and organization retreats are just some of the ways Student Life will be with you every step of the way as you plan and grow your student organization!

For New Student Organization Registration in Fall 2025, the window to register a new club begins Monday, September 29th, 2025. To get started, email ucrlife@ucr.edu with your question and they'll connect you to the right advisor! Keep in mind that Fall New Student Organization Registration will CLOSE on Friday, October 31st, 2025. No exceptions. You will need to have the entire process completed by October 31st in order to register your new organization. Otherwise, you'll need to pick it back up again in Winter Quarter, Weeks 1 - 5, when Winter New Organization Registration is active.
