Develop skills to lead and succeed in a globalized, diverse society.
What is it?
The Cultural Awareness Project is a four-week program with a two-hour workshop each week. Each workshop addresses different topics to build your cultural competence. There are two tracks so you have scheduling options and learn with a smaller community of peers.
When is it?
Weeks 3, 4, 5, and 6
Section A* Meets Tuesdays from 3-5pm
Section B* Meets Wednesdays from 3-5pm
* Both Tracks cover the same materials.
Because you want to raise your level of cultural competence. Because you want to learn how to make a positive impact on campus climate – and the world beyond. And because you care about everyone on campus feeling valued and included.
What do we do in the workshops?
You will learn how to collaborate with people from different cultures and backgrounds, how to help ALL students feel welcome on campus, and how your own identity shapes your experience. Share your voice in dynamic, interactive discussions, learn new skills, do a capstone project, and be empowered to keep the conversation going.
