Workshop Highlights:

Cultural Awareness Project Certificate

How often do you think of yourself in terms of your ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and other identities? This workshop series will span all 3 sessions and focus on how these identities shape our experiences on and off campus, and how we can develop strategies for being effective agents of change. Each session builds on the last as we explore our identities and the societal forces that act upon us. Participation in all 3 sessions is important to get the most out of the Cultural Awareness Project. If you attend all 3 sessions, you will receive a certificate of completion. If you are interested in participating in these workshops please email Gerardo Medina at Gerardo.medina@ucr.edu  no later than Monday, January 16th.

StrengthsQuest Assessment

*Required to complete the assessment prior to conference, space for 30 students at the conference!

“StrengthsQuest is a development and engagement program designed to help high school and college students, educators, and staff members achieve success in academics, career, and life. StrengthsQuest gives students and educators the opportunity to develop strengths by building on their greatest talents -- the way in which they most naturally think, feel, and behave as unique individuals. Grounded in Positive Psychology and the Clifton StrengthsFinder, StrengthsQuest has helped more than 2 million people at 600 schools and universities achieve academic, career, and personal success (Gallup).”

Participation in this workshop will require a pre-registration as well as completion of the StrengthsQuest assessment prior to the R’Leaders conference. If you are interested in participating in this workshop please email Heather Correa at heather.correa@ucr.edu no later than Wednesday, January 17th. Participants will receive more information about the workshop after pre-registration has closed.

A few days prior to the conference we will send more information about the workshops so you can begin selecting which workshops you would like to attend.
