Highlander Orientation

Get a Head Start on Your Future!

Highlander Orientation for new students and Highlander Orientation For Transfers for transfer students consistently finish their first year with a higher grade-point average than new students who don't attend. Attendees are also more likely to remain in school and ultimately graduate.

During orientation, attendees can register early for fall classes, meet students with the same major, talk to staff from their academic college, receive academic advising, tour the campus and find out about campus resources.

Both orientations are a great way to learn about all of the exciting things that UC Riverside has to offer. These programs are designed to enrich student life, assist with the transition to UCR, prepare students for academic excellence, provide campus entertainment, promote student volunteerism and prepare students to be leaders in their communities.
