Fraternity and Sorority Life

There are forty fraternity and sorority organizations at UCR that belong to various councils.  The councils and their member organizations are:

Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC): This council is comprised of ten men's fraternities that belong to the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC).  

College Panhellenic Association (CPA): This council is comprised of six women's sororities that belong to the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC): This council is comprised of seven men's fraternities and ten women's sororities; some organizations belong to the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), some to the National Asian Pacific American Panhellenic Association (NAPA), and some are local and/or regional organizations with only one or a few chapters on other campuses.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC): This council is comprised of two men's fraternity and three women's sororities that belong to the National Pan-Hellenic Conference (NPHC).

Raza Assembly Liaisons: One brotherhood of men and one women's sorority that are unique to the University of California, Riverside campus and its community are liaisons to the campus' Raza Assembly, an organization that provides cultural awareness and political involvement in all students of the Chicano/Latino culture and issues.
